On Thursday, November 5th, FJC's second grade students hosted a heartwarming Veterans Day Assembly to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. The morning was made even more special as students had the opportunity to invite family members and friends who have served in the Armed Forces to join us as our guests of honor.
Throughout the celebration, students learned about the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our veterans and the important role they have played in protecting our freedoms. Our second graders shared their appreciation through handmade thank-you cards and a beautiful musical performance featuring the touching lyrics, "Thank you, thank you, thank you to you."
One of the highlights of the morning was a special presentation by a visiting veteran who introduced students to the trumpet and bugle, demonstrating how the instruments produce sound and explaining their significance in military traditions and ceremonies.
The assembly was a wonderful reminder that it is never too early to teach our youngest learners the importance of gratitude, respect, and service. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our second grade teachers and staff for organizing such a meaningful celebration, and especially to the veterans who joined us and made the morning so memorable.
To all who have served, thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your service to our country!
