FJC Field Days 2026

This week, students in grades K–2 participated in our annual Field Day celebrations at FJC. The sun was shining, and a gentle breeze on most days helped create the perfect backdrop for three fun-filled days of excitement, laughter, and school spirit.

Family members filled the fields as they cheered on and supported our students throughout the event. Students rotated through a variety of activities, including obstacle courses, water relays, potato sack races, and many other engaging challenges that encouraged teamwork, perseverance, and fun.

A special thank you goes to the high school students from Athletes Helping Athletes, under the guidance of Physical Education teacher Ms. Calamita. These student volunteers brought incredible energy to each station, encouraging our young learners and helping to make the experience memorable for all.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Gennari and Ms. Famaghetti for their hard work and dedication in organizing and coordinating this outstanding event. The countless hours spent planning, preparing, setting up, and ensuring everything ran smoothly did not go unnoticed.

Field Day is always a highlight of the school year, and this year's event was no exception. Thank you to our families, staff, volunteers, and students for making these three days such a tremendous success. The smiles on our students' faces were a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from learning, playing, and celebrating together as a school community.

Student Half Days

As time tends to do, the end of the year has quickly come upon us. As we look to close out the year together, we wanted to remind everyone about scheduling changes for the last week of school.

During our final week of school, Wednesday, June24-Friday, June26 will be students half days.

Student pick-up will begin at 11:25am, and the busses are scheduled to depart FJC at 11:45am. If you are altering your usual dismissal routine, please make the changes via Pick-up Patrol before 10:30am.

Should you need assistance, please contact the main office.

Celebrating Our Second Grade Students

We are excited to invite our second grade families to join us for one of our favorite traditions at FJC—the 2nd Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Wednesday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m.

This special event celebrates our students' accomplishments and marks the beginning of their transition to the Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School. It is always a memorable morning filled with pride, reflection, and excitement for the journey ahead.

Families attending the ceremony should note that parking will open at 9:30 a.m., with gates opening at 9:40 a.m. Guests are asked to enter through the gates located between the High School track and the District Office and bring a photo ID.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors. If that becomes necessary, attendance will be limited to three guests per family, and a livestream link will be shared through ParentSquare so family and friends can celebrate with us virtually.

We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of our families throughout the year and look forward to celebrating this important milestone together on June 17th.

Sea You Later, FJC! Second Grade Moving Up Dance

The Rocky Point PTA is excited to host a special Moving Up Dance for our second grade students as we celebrate the end of their time at Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School and prepare for their next adventure at JAE!

The dance will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00–8:30 p.m. and will feature a fun-filled evening with friends, music, and celebration. Students will also enjoy food from Zona Out East and ice cream from Menu TV's, which will be served to all second grade students in attendance.

This event is exclusively for our second grade students, and siblings are not permitted. We are grateful to our PTA for sponsoring this memorable opportunity for our students to celebrate together one last time before moving on to third grade.

Families are reminded to return the RSVP form to their child's classroom teacher by Friday, June 5, 2026.

We look forward to seeing our second graders for a night of fun, friendship, and celebration as we say, "Sea You Later, FJC!"
