Marching in the Homecoming Parade

FJC Eagles March in the Homecoming Parade!

A big thank you to all the FJC students and families who joined us for this year’s Homecoming Parade! It was such a joy to march up Rocky Point-Yaphank Road to the high school surrounded by so much Eagle pride and school spirit.

A special shout-out goes to Ms. Gaudioso, our amazing art teacher, for creating the beautiful FJC banner that led the way. We are so very lucky to have her as a new member of the FJC family, and we are grateful for the many ways she shares her creativity and talent with us each and every day.

And of course, thank you to all who came out to cheer us on along the parade route! Your smiles, waves, and cheers made the day even more special. What a wonderful celebration of our school and community spirit!

Scholastic Book Fair

Thank You for a Wonderful Book Fair! 📚💙

A huge thank you to our amazing PTA, our librarian Ms. Sicurella, and all of the wonderful volunteers who helped make our Book Fair such a success! Our students had a fantastic time shopping for new books and discovering exciting stories to take home.

It was also so heartwarming to see so many families join us, helping their children choose books and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for making this event such a special experience for our FJC community!

Staff Spotlight: Ms. Cain – 2nd Grade ENL Teacher

We are so excited to introduce Ms. Cain, FJC’s new second grade ENL teacher. This is Ms. Cain’s first year at FJC and her second year in education, and she has already made a wonderful impression on both students and staff.

When asked what she loves most about being at FJC, Ms. Cain shared that she loves how supportive and helpful all of the staff are. She’s especially enjoyed getting to know her students and seeing them grow each day. One of her favorite moments so far has been our SOAR assembly, where she experienced the enthusiasm and school spirit that make FJC such a special place.

Ms. Cain loves sharing books with her students, especially The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson, which encourages courage and connection. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading and singing, two passions that bring her a lot of joy.

Her favorite piece of advice is to always be kind. It’s simple but powerful, and it’s a message she lives by every day.

Ms. Cain says she is so happy to be working in the FJC community, and we couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the FJC family.

Ms. Warren and Ms. Dauths Glow party

SOARing into Fun with Ms. Dauth and Ms. Friedman's Class!

A big congratulations to Ms. Dauth and Ms. Friedman’s first grade class, who recently completed their very first SOAR board! Their hard work, teamwork, and positive choices earned them a well-deserved glow party celebration.

The classroom was transformed into a glowing dance floor as students waved glow sticks, laughed, and danced under black lights—celebrating each other and the incredible way they have SOARed all year long.

We are so proud of our first graders for setting such a shining example of what it means to show Safety, Ownership, Acceptance, and Respect each and every day. Keep up the amazing work, Eagles!

Feed the Monster Candy Competition Update

Our candy monsters are hungry—and FJC is feeding them well! As of Tuesday, Frank J. Carasiti Elementary is leading the way with an incredible 36 pounds of candy, compared to 12 pounds for JAE. Way to go, FJC!

Let’s keep that momentum going! Continue bringing in those bags of new, individually wrapped candy to help us “feed the monster.” All candy collected will be donated for the Trunk or Treat event hosted by the North Shore Youth Council and the Rocky Point PTA on October 26th.

Every sweet contribution brings us closer to victory and a school-wide pajama day! Keep those treats coming, Eagles—let’s show JAE how FJC SOARS!
