Second Grade Students at Moving Up Ceremony

Celebrating Our Second Graders: Moving Up Ceremony 2025

On Wednesday, June 18th, we had the joy of celebrating our incredible second graders during the FJC Moving Up Ceremony. While the weather led us to shift locations from our backfields to the Rocky Point High School gymnasium, the spirit of the day remained as bright as ever.

Surrounded by staff, families, and friends, we honored each and every one of our second graders—reflecting on all they’ve learned, how much they’ve grown, and the exciting journey that lies ahead at JAE. The ceremony was filled with smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears as we said “see you later” to this special group of students.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff and families who came to celebrate with us. Your support made the day truly memorable.

To our second graders: We are so proud of you. As you head off to JAE, know that our doors and hearts remain forever open.

Congratulations!

First grade students in tropical attire

Aloha, First Grade! End-of-Year Luau Fun at FJC

Our first graders wrapped up the school year in true tropical style with their End-of-Year Luau Parties—and what a celebration it was! Each first grade classroom was transformed with colorful decorations, tikis, leis, and plenty of island vibes as families joined in the fun.

Laughter, music, and joy filled the hallways as students and families came together to celebrate all the hard work and learning that took place this year. Adding to the magic, our wonderful music teacher, Ms. Macedonio, brought the island spirit to life by playing the ukulele as students sang a beautiful rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing first grade team for planning such a fun and unforgettable event. And of course, we’re so grateful to all the families who joined us—you helped make the day even more special!

Mahalo and happy summer!

Lights, Camera, Second Grade! Movie Star Day at FJC

Our second grade hallway was transformed into Hollywood for a day as students celebrated Movie Star Day in style! With the red carpet rolled out, the spotlight was on our fabulous second graders—the true stars of the show.

Dressed to impress in their finest outfits and stylish sunglasses, students strutted down the runway to cheers, music, and flashing lights. The hallway buzzed with excitement, laughter, and plenty of photo-worthy moments, making it a day to remember.

A big thank you to our amazing second grade team for creating magical, joy-filled experiences like this. Moments like Movie Star Day are what make the end of the year so special for our students.

Cue the applause—our second graders truly shined!

Dino-Mite Fun at FJC: Celebrating Dinosaur Week!

For the second year in a row, Dinosaur Week at FJC has taken our students on a prehistoric adventure they won’t soon forget! Thanks to the creativity and collaboration of our incredible special area teachers, students were treated to a fun-filled, immersive week of all things dinosaurs.

Throughout the week, students had the chance to learn about dinosaurs, build dino skeletons out of foam bones, sing catchy dinosaur songs, play themed games, and so much more. Every corner of the school was buzzing with excitement, curiosity, and laughter as students explored the prehistoric world in art, music, physical education, library, and STEM.

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing special area team for planning and delivering such a memorable and educational experience. Your efforts continue to bring learning to life in the most creative and engaging ways.

Dinosaur Week was truly a "roar-some" success!
