Students at Career Day

College & Career Fair 2025

Our recent College and Career Fair was a big success! Students had the exciting opportunity to learn about a variety of careers from real-life professionals. We were thrilled to welcome an elevator mechanic, an FDNY EMT, a cosmetologist, a registered nurse, and many more incredible presenters who shared their experiences and answered students' curious questions.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our presenters for taking time out of their busy schedules to speak with our students. Your stories and advice truly made an impact!

We’d also like to give a special shout-out to Ms. Adamski, our amazing Guidance Counselor, for organizing such a meaningful event. The students were inspired and energized by everything they learned—and who knows, maybe some future careers were sparked that day!

Rocky Point Day Schedule

Join Us for Our Second Annual Rocky Point Day!

Mark your calendars—our second annual Rocky Point Day is happening on May 10th from 11 AM to 3 PM, and you won’t want to miss it!

FJC families are invited to come celebrate all things Rocky Point with a day full of fun, food, and community spirit. Enjoy shopping from over 50 local vendors and crafters, grab a delicious bite from a variety of food trucks, and enjoy musical performances from our talented Middle and High School students.

There’s something for everyone—kids can get creative with art, test their skills in field day games, and play soccer, lacrosse, and basketball throughout the day. We’ll also be honoring our incredible IMP(P)ACT Award winners and, in a fan-favorite event, you’ll even get the chance to duct tape High School Principal Mr. Moller to the wall!

It’s a beautiful way to celebrate the heart of our community, and we can’t wait to see you there. Let’s make this Rocky Point Day one to remember!

First Grade Rainforest Comes to Life!

Step into the first grade hallway and you’ll feel like you’ve entered the rainforest! Our first grade students recently completed an exciting rainforest project that brought learning to life in the most colorful way.

As part of the unit, students dove deep into the rainforest habitat, exploring its unique layers and discovering how animals live and work together. Each student chose a rainforest animal to research and wrote informative pieces filled with fun facts and details.

But the learning didn’t stop there! Students also used their creativity to craft vibrant animals and towering trees, which now decorate the hallway and make it a fun and exciting place for all to visit.

The first grade rainforest project was a wonderful way for students to combine science, writing, and art while exploring the wonders of nature. Great job, first graders!

Celebrating Our Young Scientists!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the 2025 FJC Science Fair! We were blown away by the creativity, curiosity, and hard work that went into each and every project. From fascinating experiments to innovative ideas, our young scientists truly impressed us all.

A special round of applause goes to our FJC winners:

Kindergartener Peyton Lauten,
First Grader Ava Murphy, and
Second Grader Charlotte Van Horne!

These outstanding students will represent FJC at the Brookhaven Science Fair, competing alongside students from other districts. We’re so proud of their achievements and can’t wait to see how they do!

Way to go, scientists!
