This week has been full of fun and festivities here at FJC. We have dressed up, sang songs, shared stories, and celebrated the upcoming holidays together. Our classroom teachers, and amazing families helped provide opportunities for crafts, fun, and celebration. It was a beautiful way to close out the year.
Whatever traditions you celebrate, we wish you and your families the very best. May the cold days outside bring you all closer inside, as we look forward to 2025 together.
Holiday Sing-A-Long
On Tuesday, December 17th all FJC students participated in our annual Holiday Sing-A-Long. Gathered in the gymnasium, students sang along to holiday classics like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Dreidel Song, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Singing was led by Ms. Pletka and Ms. McGuire on vocals, Ms. Macedonio on ukulele, Mr. Muchnik on piano, and Mr. Westerlund in comedic relief.
Students sang and danced to their hearts content, as we enjoyed the beautiful sounds of their voices. It was an incredibly fun and festive morning!
Reading of the Polar Express
Our annual reading of the Polar Express occurred Friday morning. Students gathered in the cafeteria in their PJs where Mr. Westerlund and Ms. Pletka shared this holiday classic. FJC librarian, Ms. Sicurella, provided some extra magic through the use of digital software that provided sound effects and larger graphics on the Smartboard.
For the grand finale, students sang Jingle Bells as Frankie the elf made his last appearance of the season.
It was a great time for the FJC family to be together!
Holiday Spirit Week
The Holidays were in the air and the wear all week at FJC. Students displayed their excitement as they wore their favorite Holiday gear. We got a chance to see blinking light necklaces, fun head bands, santa caps, holiday sweaters and so much more. The holiday spirit put a great ending on 2024!
