Students in the Rocky Point School District headed back to school on Sept. 4. with smiles and an eagerness to meet their new teachers and old friends. At Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School, students were greeted with sidewalk chalk messages of positivity and kindness as they entered the building.

The first day of classes was a seamless transition from summer vacation to school days in all four of the district’s schools.
